Next Up NoVa

Next Up NoVa is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit youth training center at 7699 Limestone Drive in Gainesville. It was started in 2024 by two lifelong friends who grew up in Northern Virginia, who bought and remodeled the space and fitted it out as a full training gym. Its aim is to give local kids a safe, supportive place to learn, grow and build confidence in their sport, and to raise money for youth athletics programs in the community.

Basketball training is open to boys and girls and runs by skill level. Beginner Basketball is a one-hour co-ed group class for the newest and youngest players. Intermediate is a small-group class for experienced elementary, middle and high school players, and Advanced is for players who have come up through Intermediate. Dribble Lab focuses on ball control and Shooting Lab on shooting. Classes are sold in packages of 4, 8 or 12, with monthly packages at every level. The gym also offers one-on-one training, monthly clinics on shooting, ball handling or footwork, youth 3v3 leagues, and rental of a Dr. Dish shooting machine.

Volleyball training is for girls and boys ages 7 to 18. Performance training is for athletes 12 and up, and VertiMax training is offered as a membership. Next Up NoVa also runs a summer camp and a program for homeschooled students.

The coaching staff includes former high school and college coaches, former Division 1 players and local basketball figures. Sign up for classes and camps through the booking page on the Next Up NoVa website, and call or use the website's contact page about private or unlimited packages. The center does not publish regular opening hours.
