Parrando's Tex-Mex Grill

Parrando's Tex-Mex Grill is a family-owned restaurant on Washington Street in Haymarket, known for its fajitas and craft margaritas. The Haymarket location opened in 2021 as the second Parrando's, following the original in Ashburn, which opened in 2016. The name is a family story: as a child, owner Juan Carlos tried to say "Papa Isnardo," his name for his grandfather, and it came out as "Parrando."

Fajitas lead the menu, with steak, chicken, carne asada, baby back rib, shrimp and vegetable versions, plus larger mixed platters such as La Tablita, which serves three to four. The rest of the menu covers enchiladas, burritos, chimichangas, taco platters and build-your-own combinations, along with house specialties such as lomo saltado and mariscada. Starters include guacamole, ceviche, quesadillas and gambas al ajillo, and desserts include flan and tres leches. The kitchen uses freshly made flour tortillas for its quesadillas and fajitas, 21-day aged USDA Choice steaks and all-natural chicken.

Guests can eat indoors or on the outdoor patio, and online ordering is available for pickup and delivery. Catering ranges from same-day office lunches to full-service weddings and corporate events.
